TAU Mold Line Hades | WH40K

Arrrghhhh...

I had forgotten how bad the mold lines are on the (dated IMHO) Tau Fire Warrior Sprues... It is taking me forever to clean them off. I clean one and find two more (Mold line Two Step?) I purchased a scraper from Squadron, it is handy for smaller areas. Trusty hobby knife for the rest.

Is that a Mold Line or are just glad to see me?
Bases are resin from Battleroad Games. BTW, I did the Masters.

  1. I see it! :) I think the area with the mold lines are similar to some of the old Empire foot I have. Dean

  2. The FW's are really overdue a re-do. Frankly, most of the sprue is empty and many more moldlines than the newer GW Plastics. But I guess they still sell.

On the other hand, the new Broadside kit is effing awesome.

  3. I remember seeing your Tau army at a Dallas GT way back in the early 2000's... Missiles streaking from suits, crazy conversions everywhere. Whatever happened to THAT Tau army?

  4. Thanks! My old Tau army has been sold off to finance other hobby projects. I intend to do some similar things on this commissioned army, which is more infantry based, etc. Magnets (new on the scene back then) over soem interesting options. However, I wiil have to balance durabilty and game practicality in this force vs too much crazy. Going with a Deep Red scheme, generic Sept that with also work as Farside Enclave.

  5. Nothing wrong with too much crazy.

I really don't think I could build let alone paint an Appleseed army. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
